π₯Ά Cold Water Warning β Stay Safe π₯Ά As temperatures rise, open water can look inviting β but cold water can be deadly, even on warm days. Entering cold water suddenly can cause cold water shock, leading to gasping, panic, and loss of control of breathing. This can happen in seconds, even to strong swimmers. β οΈ Stay safe: β
Avoid jumping or diving into open water β
Never swim alone β
Stick to supervised areas where possible β
Keep children and pets under close supervision β
If someone is in trouble, call 999 and ask for Fire & Rescue π‘ If you fall into cold water: Float on your back, stay calm, and control your breathing until help arrives.
